Gold Medalists Felicitated
About 50 Gold Medalists of the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda were felicitated by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara in a function held at Vivekananda Memorial on December 23, 2012. Ms Bhagyesh Soneji, Chairperson of the Associated Chamber of Commerce (Gujarat Chapter) was the Chief Guest. She advised the brilliant students to read the books of swami Vivekananda and march forward in life. She cited her own example as to how she got inspired by the message of Swami Vivekananda because of her parents and starting with only Rs.20/- in hand she became a successful businesswoman.
Unique Laser Shows on Swami Vivekananda
Unique Laser shows on the Life of Swami Vivekananda by USA based Shri Manick Sorcar (son of the legendary magician Shri P C Sorcar) were organised by Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara (Gujarat) two in Vadodara on 2nd January, 2013 and one in Ahmedabad on 6th January, 2013. State Level Essay Competition organised on
“The Problems of Modern Youth and Swami Vivekananda”
As a part of the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Memorial, Vadodara organised a State Level Essay Competition on “The Problems of Modern Youth and Swami Vivekananda” in English and Gujarati for college students in which 995 students of about 125 colleges of Gujarat participated. Out of these students, one hundred students were selected based on the merit of the essays written by them and they were married to made to write essays on the same subject under supervision at Vadodara. Three students were selected based on their performance and were given prizes in the Youth Convention organised on January 12, 2013. Dr. (Smt.) Mrunalini Devi Puar, Chancellor, the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was the Chief Guest. She shared her personal experience as to how she got inspiration from the books of Swami Vivekananda and Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi while she was a student and distributed the prize to the following students.
