Role:

-          Drive the architect/design and implementation for cloud-based delivery of educational content

-          Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users, coming up ways to support high concurrency and fast response time

-          Interact effectively with engineering managers to drive an optimized solution under known constraints

-          Analyse and use different features available to increase the security and performance of the products

-          Develop and test mechanisms for security, back-up and recovery

-          Install and test new versions of the DBMS

-          Maintain data standards, write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)

-          Investigate new technologies

 

 Skills Required:

-          Skillset

·           Good knowledge of DBMS and SQL

·           Knowledge of programming languages (preferably php), in order to be able to automate certain tasks

·           Conversant with handling Linux servers

·           Ability to function independently and take ownership of architecting a solution

-          Additional skillset:

·           Experience with designing information systems and UML models

·           Experience working with Cloud technologies

-          Experience: 3-4 years
