The Milwaukee Waukesha Beekeeping Association is excited to present Etienne Tardiff, Adrian Quiney, and Paul Kelly in a virtual panel discussion on Overwintering Techniques for honeybee hives.
This is a great opportunity to hear three experienced beekeepers share their best tips for tucking your bees in for the long, cold winter. Etienne is a hobby size beekeeper, Adrian is sideline size and Paul manages a small size commercial operation through the university. This is the perfect opportunity to learn overwintering techniques no matter where you stand as a beekeeper.

Adrian Quiney has been keeping bees unconventionally since 2008 in Hudson, WI. He has tended his bees with a focus on self-sustainable beekeeping and eliminating his need to purchase bee packages. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCn6RmZ0om1dMRSBPgBoCSmQ
Etienne Tardif lives in the Yukon Territory where he works in the winter as a mining consultant and spends his summers with his wife keeping bees, chickens, tending large gardens, hiking and canoeing. He has now kept bees for the last 7 years north of 60 where he has taken a data driven approach to keeping his bees. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-BMXy_Hxg_PF35VGPxgr1Q/videos
Paul Kelly has managed the Honey Bee Research Centre (at the University of Guelph) for the past thirty four years. His primary role at the centre is to manage honey bee colonies for research and teaching purposes. He has helped produce a series of "How-To"' beekeeping videos (YouTube), which aim to aid beekeepers with a wide range of techniques from beginner to advanced skills. https://www.youtube.com/c/UoGHoneyBeeResearchCentre/videos
