We are sold out of nucs for the season, but are still be taking orders for our local VSH (varroa sensitive hygiene) queens this spring.  We really enjoy using virgin queens in our operation to make increases. If you're unfamiliar with using virgin queens, check out our recent blog post for a how to and why.  For those that have colonies that survived winter, start thinking about spring queens.

·        Split surviving colonies in the spring to reduce and manage the swarming impulse.

·        The splits are used to make winter colonies or fix issues down the road in your apiary.

·        Requeen aggressive colonies in the spring to enjoy well behaved colonies in the summer.

·        Replace failing queens: Low production or poor pattern.

·        Add new varroa resistant genetics to your population.

·        Replace queens that have a high swarming tendency.

·        Add disease resistant genetics to your population.

We can ship your queens to your local UPS customer center. We calculate your shipping cost at the UPS terminal and will let you know the total. You can also come and pick up your queens in person. Feel free to bring your random bee questions! Queen orders are filled in the order we receive them, so get your reservation in now to keep your spot. You can reserve your queens via our website.

Thank you,

Trevor
