Good to know that the idea was mooted on New Year and in a couple of
weeks we have this group up & running.

I am really pleased to see such a development taking shape. During the
past five years working near Jeddah it was like being in wilderness
and I couldn't have imagined that we could have even had such a small
number of Kannadigas getting together. This New Year get together that
we had goes down as one of the most memorable I have ever had. I thank
one and all for organising it. Had known such Kannadiga groups
existing in Dubai & US, but to have one here in Riyadh was really good
to know. Hope we keep meeting, interacting and networking to help our
selves and to forget the "away from home" feeling.

Hi Ganesh,

 

Thanks for your greetings to the group and your note. We need to work towards building a network of a group of people with common interests. It would help if you could add more members who can be part of the group. We can also have an address book compiled separately on word/excel containing the data of all kannadigas we know of including their names, location in India and in Riyadh, phone numbers, anniversaries, birthdays, number of kids etc., Such information will help like minded individuals to network and stay together. I will try and create one simple document and upload it. I trust all members will be able to edit the list and upload back so that we can have a good list of kannadigas in Riyadh.
