Hello Employment Counselors,

 

The attached are events coming up for the consideration of your Job Seeking Clients.  Please assist them to address the participating Employers’ needs, research the available positions for which they may be qualified and creating resumes that specifically address how they can do the job(s).

 

As a suggestion, if they have an account on EmployRI, they may find the posted positions by searching for the Employer or Job Order’s Title.  If they can’t make it to the Job Fair, they may be able to apply online to that Employer.

 

The Events:

 

• Hospitality Job Fair – April 2^nd @ Maury Loontjens Memorial Library, Narragansett, RI
• All Industry Job Fair – April 10^th @ WeMakeRI, Cranston, RI
• Environmental Resources Career Fair – April 22 @ Community College of RI, Lincoln, RI

 

 

As a reminder, if you and your ‘Job Ready’ Veteran Client have participated in a conference session --- virtually, in-person or by phone --- with a Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER), let that LVER know when the Job Seeker applies to any opportunity.  Also, if any of your Covered Veteran clients have applied for any position, let someone in the Rhode Island Veteran Services Unit know.  Please include the clients’ application details and the company’s opportunity.  We’ll keep you informed on the progress and results.
