Calling All Coffee Loving Artists

Fellow Members,
Riverwest Food Co-op is proud to announce that we will soon
have our very own blend of coffee beans roasted by the Just Coffee Cooperative
in Madison. This will be a
part of Just Coffee's Co-op to Co-op campaign, or 'C2C', as they like to call
it. Once we do have our own coffee blend, the entire productivity line
for the coffee will be all from cooperatives, from the growers all the way into
your hand.
At the celebratory block party on Saturday, August 8th, we will be
able to vote on which coffee we love the most, and also which label art we love
the most. So, with that being said, we need your help...well, your
artwork to be exact. We’ll have cool prizes for the first place and two runner-up
entries. The best prize: your artwork
could be chosen to be on the coffee bags that you will soon be able to purchase
at the Riverwest Co-op.
Guidelines for the art:
A drawing, painting or graphic art.
Choose any theme you like - - either coffee, Riverwest, cooperatives, or
anything at all really, just be creative!
10"x12" or 5"x6" (if chosen, it will be shrunk
to fit on the label)
The deadline for artwork submissions will be Wednesday, July 15th.
For a couple of weeks all submissions will be up for public viewing for an
initial ballot. The top choices will then be voted on at the block
party. All entries may be submitted in print to the Riverwest Co-op.
We will keep you posted on updates about the block party in the next few
weeks. There will also be more information about the party up at the
Riverwest Co-op, so look out for that too. Thanks and we hope you can
