Friday Morning Gravel Ride, 9:00
Start the Weekend Early
A mixed surface gravel bike ride Friday morning at 9:00 leaving from Riverside Cycle in Newburyport. We will explore the North Shore on a 3 hour ride and return to the shop at noon. The ride can be extended after that for those who want more gravel goodness. The shop has food and water.
North Shore gravel is pretty mountain bike-like with plenty of rocks, roots, and obstacles. Being a capable off road rider is essential. Fatter tires (40+ mm) are often better. Our average pace is 13 mph depending on the mix of pavement and off-road.
If we cancel due to weather a notice will be sent out by 8:00.
