Hey All
So the final TNR is upon us and we are all stoked about it!! Leave the lot at 5:30 then roll out together staying controlled until AFTER ROLF’S LANE!! This is only fair to make sure everyone makes it through the light!! Then WORK TOGETHER to get the pace up but controlled I’d guess 22-25 mph! If you get to the front realize what the group speed is and keep it constant (no benefit to drop people on 1A… )
There will be no crossing the REAL OR IMAGINARY yellow line the whole way!!
I know the super tight section coming out of the reservoir area with the potholes, walkers and cars is a tight area please just stay right as much as possible! This is instant DQ for the sprint and this goes for the whole ride and it is just not safe. The finish line is at the same place it has been all year! I am so excited for the next “pride of Lynn” sprinter, that being said it is not ok to do stupid things, unsafe things or to just shut off your brain!!!
So be careful and don’t lock up your brakes!
Don’t cross wheels!
Don’t cross yellow line!
If you know you’re not as fast as some others please pull out of the way and stay way right on Turkey Hill early (Florida house area) so then others can pass without going way left!!
Here are the rules from last week!
Let’s go through a few final Sprint day rules for the 16th final TNR!
1. To be eligible to win the “Pride of Lynn TNR Sprint Jersey” you must have been on 5+ TNR rides.
2. Those 3 who have won in the past MUST stop the ride/sprint at the 95 overpass and not lead out /set up/or anything to help the next winner after that overpass.
3. If at anytime any rider crosses the yellow they are Disqualified and not possible to win!
4. The ride will be FAST and there will be no speed limit.. the group should work together to get around the loop safely, efficiently and taking turns in the front and moving back to the end of the group “pace line” but remembering we don’t own the road and cars will be everywhere stop at stop signs and follow the laws!!
5. Safety is all that matters! This is just for fun and a little bit of bragging rights next year. Not at all worth hurting yourself or anyone else or causing an accident.
SAFETY IS ALL THAT MATTERS “Team EF Education” is not calling!! And I don’t want calls from anyone saying we are not safe and courteous on the road!!
Well then PIZZA, conversation and a few beverages!! This is the best party of the year!!!
See you tomorrow!
