Greetings Riders!
Our 10th ride of the season will take place tomorrow, June 8th. Right now, the weather forecast suggests a perfect night for making circles - low-70's and sunny, with little wind. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, I will cancel the ride between 3-4pm in the afternoon.
Last week's Mix-Up Ride played out really well. We will repeat the 3-Option drill this week, using the same alternate routes, while roadwork on our normal routes continues.
Here is the breakdown:
Spicy Ride: 18-mile loop with an 18+mph avg.
Salty Ride: 18-mile loop with a max 18mph avg, as advertised.
Sweet Ride: 16-mile loop with a max 16mph avg, as advertised. There will be a designated "sweep" for this ride.
Here are the Routes. PLEASE REVIEW:

Here are, once again, the Riverside Rules of the Road:
- Give different riders the chance to pull if they move to the front; DO NOT pull if you do not know the route
- When riding on a road with a bike lane, stay INSIDE the bike lane
- When riding on backroads, ride NO MORE than two abreast, and hug the inside shoulder
- Announce if you are passing a rider, and pass ONLY on the left
- On narrow roads with sharp corners, stay SINGLE FILE on the corners (Plummers Lane)
- If you hear "CAR BACK!" hug the right shoulder and stay single file until the car passes
- Helmets and REAR LIGHTS are mandatory for ALL riders!
- Front lights are advisable for the ride home
As always, come for the ride and stay for the beer!
