Greetings Riverside Riders -
As the old saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens! As you may already know, after several years of safe and strong leadership, Chris Scott has decided to step back from leading Riverside’s WNR’s. Please join me in Thanking Chris for his stellar, safe and thoughtful leadership over the past few years.
Hoping to keep the Riverside WNR tradition alive, Josh Krasnow and I have teamed up to lead Riverside’s WNR’s this season.
However, there is a bit of a change this year. We will be leading a “ B” level ride on the same route as the past few years. This year’s ride will target a slower average pace (20-21 mph) than in previous years.
As in the past, safety is our TOP priority We expect single file peloton formation, no surging off the front, keep pulls short and sweet, peel off and go ALL THE WAY TO THE BACK PLEASE. Signal when pulling off so we know your intentions and PLEASE DO NOT SURGE out of corners or from stop signs. We are depending on every rider to work together in a cohesive, safe and respectable manner.
Rides will roll out ( or as Chris says “ wheels down”) promptly at 5:30 pm for the 38 mile loop. The shop will NOT be open at roll out so please plan accordingly.
Josh and I hope you can join us beginning Wednesday May 20 ( weather permitting) and look forward to keeping the Riverside WNR tradition alive.
Weekly reminders will be sent with a RWGPS link to the route Wednesday mornings. In the event of foul weather and ride cancellation we will make the final call by 3 PM day of ride.
Ride Safely!
Doug & Josh
