Mallorca was AMAZING! I can only recommend going there to ride (maybe with Riverside 2027)! Totally worth the trip!! I tried to bring back some 70 degree sunny weather.. 🤷‍♂️

It will be dry tomorrow but a little chilly. I can not ride but I will be there to let everyone in and have a beer!

Hey All

Spring is here (at least right now it is!)

Let’s ride!
First off it will be a ceremonious night for TNR it will be our 4th acknowledgment of the TNR (Pride of Lynn) jersey ceremony so don’t be late!!
We will ride at 5:32 almost like normal!
18-19 speeds
Single file North Street at 21-23 smooth is steady and steady is fast!!
Turkey Hill sprint on our side of the yellow line!! Watching out for cars we all know it is not our road!

A few things we need to discuss!!

Last week the group was way too much ALL OVER THE ROAD! Sometimes 3-4 wide and not hugging the right side of the road. This can’t happen, we are a huge group and we have to be respectful to all drivers and others on the road! I can not emphasize this enough! I do not want to have to change our great group dynamics but this needs to get better!

It will be a bit breezy tomorrow night so we need to pay attention and keep your eyes on the road and riders around you! A quick side gust will toss anyone so make sure you know where other riders on your left/right/forward/behind you!! It will be a big group because it’s going to be so nice!

We all are adults and know how to ride in a group, respect drivers and rules of the road!!

I have heard a rumor the pot holes are filled in on the little reservoir climb and after!! 👍🏻

As most of you know there was a crash last week they are ok and I know we are all grateful he is!! This brings me back to all the do’s and don'ts I say weekly so let’s make sure to be attentive and if group slows use your brakes and slow down and let’s NOT CROSS WHEELS!! The rider in the back who crossed the wheels will go down and it’s not worth it, just be aware all the time!

Last week we had a close call with a driver, we were all doing everything right but she was not aware of our presents, thank you all for paying attention and reacting quickly!!!  We all need to be aware all the time!!  A big group usually helps for safety but everyone needs to pay attention all the time!!  Thank you for keeping that a priority!  I just want everyone to have fun and be safe!

We do need to control the speed till everyone gets around the corners! No need to drill it (there are 40 riders behind you keep that in mind)

Single file on North street (we have been creeping up the speed here which is ok but let’s keep it steady!! If the speed gets too fast for you m, no problem signal the rider behind you to take over and move to the left and jump on the back of the line to recover!! Keeping the gaps in the line to a minimum!

19 is the speed (let’s try and hold that please)
As we all know there was a bit of an issue on Wethersfield last week… let’s try and keep the group tight side by side please (we may have to go single file here) but right now TIGHT is what we need to do! Please be aware that this a narrow road. And we want everybody to be able to pass us. If it’s safe but that only works if we are tight 2 x 2 way to the right as always!
Single file of North Street. Let’s keep the pace 21 to 23. If you can’t do that pace, please let somebody else do the pulling to get us up to the 23 range.
Turkey Hill sprint is next. But let’s not start the sprint till most of us are around the corner to be fair to everyone.
And on the sprint, remember the road is not closed. It is open and we need to share the road with drivers and all the cars! Remember Team UAE is not calling and yes it’s fun to win the sprint, but we need to be safe about it!

Hey All let’s ride!

Will leave the parking lot at 5:30 sharp
Let’s try to hold a 19 mph speed.
Last week we did get the divided Ralph’s Lane so make sure we all pay attention to see if everyone had made it through the lights.
We all need to do a better job staying as far to the right as possible. In the past years, we used to stay to the inside of the white line right now we’re getting way too far towards the middle. On all of our roads. So we need to stay further right.
On Wethersfield on the other side of Route one. We have two out in the front so they will hold the pace and we won’t have to have somebody drop back after they take their pull. It was Yancy and Bill last week, We’ll see who takes it this week.

And when we get to Turkey Hill, I think it’s important to know that not everybody is around the corner so starting the sprint instantly is not fair to everybody else. So let’s slow pedal for at least a 30 seconds or so to let everybody get around the corner. Also not to cause any problems with the cars on Scotland Road.
Like I’ve said 1 million times at the end of the day we are a bunch of ridrrs out there riding and having fun and Team UAE is not calling, Keep that in mind as you’re flying down Turkey Hill! Staying as far right as possible it is not a closed road and we cannot go four because the road is not closed. Safety is all that matters!

I need to tell everyone that Yancy was out on his bike with a leaf blower making our route gravel free, stick free and so awesome! So great seeing him out there helping us ride safe!!

Turkey Hill Sprint not drilling it right away allowing everyone to get around the corner to be fair! Please remember the road is not closed and we need to stay on our side!! If your passing another rider please call out that your passing and where you are!! Btw our last green jersey winner now has a waxed chain so that gains him another 7 watts (just saying watch out he’s gunning for a win!!

Same procedure on Weathersifield (2 riders stay in front and keep pace so no need to drop back.

North street 21-23 let’s try and not let gaps form because the rubber band effect is dramatic in the back!

Turkey hill sprint! Last week I saw way too many people on the yellow center line and even crossing over it!! There is ZERO reason to ever cross the center line! You are instantly DQ’d from the sprint and maybe more! Don’t do it! We are on an open road and we can’t do that!!
