to Riverside Rides
Spring has sprung and it's time to make circles!

Riverside Cycle extends a warm welcome to new and returning riders. Tomorrow night, March 30th, will mark the launch of the 2026 Monday Night Rides.

We will begin the season with a 16.4-mile "get back in the saddle" route. It is an old favorite and offers beautiful scenery and empty roads. Starting on April 20th, we will resume our 18.0- and 20.0-mile options.

PLEASE review the map (below) prior to the ride.

Let's get off to a good start with a review of the Riverside Rules of the Road, so we can all ride safely and maintain our good standing in the community as a favored cycling resource.

1.    When riding on a road with a bike lane, stay INSIDE the bike lane

2.    When riding on backroads, ride NO MORE than two abreast, and hug the inside shoulder

3.    Announce if you are passing a rider, and pass ONLY on the left

4.    On narrow roads with sharp corners, stay SINGLE FILE on the corners (Plummers Lane)
5.    If you hear "CAR BACK!" hug the right shoulder and stay single file until the car passes
6.    Helmets and running day lights are mandatory for ALL riders!

Come for the ride stay for the beer! Yep, beer following the ride.
PLACE: Riverside Cycles, Newburyport (at the Tannery), 50 Water St.
TIME: 5:20 meet-up in the parking lot, with a 5:30 departure. Text me if you are going to be a few minutes late (508-250-8803).

If you would like to receive regular emails about the ride, please follow this link to add yourself to the Google Group Rides e-mail list. If that does not work, send an email to: riversiderid...@googlegroups.com. Stick anything in subject line.

Hope to see you soon!
