Hallelujah! It’s May and we have a lot happening.

Our four functional groups are beginning to form and will meet at least once before June.
There will be a Golden Guardian Information Session on May 21, 2008 at the County Administrative Center.
We are awaiting word from OES on when the next EOC training is scheduled, so that our VOAD Liaisons can be certified.
By July, OES should have out on compact disk a Golden Guardian based table top exercise, so we can prepare in advance for the event in November.
In response, we will begin running through this exercise in August.
Finally, we have the Golden Guardian Exercise on November 13 – 18, 2008.
A list of guest speakers is beginning to formulate.

Whew! Isn’t this great? We are just getting started.

However, it is good to pace ourselves and settle in for the long run. To this end, the next Riverside County VOAD meeting will be on June 12, 2008. We still encourage our functional groups to meet in May and we hope to see everyone on May 21, 2008 at the County Administrative Center beginning at 1:30 PM. I expect to hear reports from our functional groups on June 12, 2008.
