Dear friends, I hope this email finds you well.

I'm writing to ask for your help. The campaign to preserve Riverside's Chinatown is at a critical stage and the Save Our Chinatown Committee needs your help.

The developer who sought to build atop the Riverside Chinatown archaeological site in 2008 has found new business partners from San Diego who are quietly (yet aggressively) moving plans for development of the same medical office building at the Chinatown site. Since our legal victory in 2012, we have been working hard to create a preservation-minded alternative for the heritage site: a signature park that would highlight the story of our City's Chinese pioneers while CONSERVING, NOT DESTROYING the existing archaeological resource. In addition, we have been working to find a WIN-WIN solution. This has included assisting the developers in finding alternative locations for needed medical offices. We need your help to show our city government that the people of Riverside and beyond stand with us.

To make it easier for you to help us, SOCC has sent out a call to action, which you may have already received by email this weekend. For your convenience, I have included the link here: http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=1ce0cc61e049885806a98d528&id=916901b221&e=d785c758dd

Please write or email by Friday, August 15, 2014 to help us have the greatest impact at this critical time.

So that we may track support for the effort, please send us a copy of your emails or letters to: saveourc...@gmail.com

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this effort.

Thank you for your continued support,
