Dear all,   Happy New Year! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season.

Our school will resume this coming Saturday (1/12/2013) and hope to see you soon.  (school address: 1550 3rd St. Riverside, CA92507, John W. North High School, 1:00PM-4:00PM)

There are two big events coming to our community:  Please mark your calendar for them.

·         1/26 morning 3rd annual Asian Lunar Festival Parade in Downtown Riverside and

·          2/9 afternoon CNY celebration at Huaxia Chinese School at North High School.

To prepare for those events, everyone needs Chinese traditional cloths.  Here is our plan for the cloth part:

1.     1.  Please clean your closet and bring those out-grown Chinese Traditional cloths (in good condition and clean) to Huaxia this Saturday (1/12) and next Saturday (1/19).  As our appreciation, for each set or a dress you take in, you will receive 10 raffle tickets (We will draw prize at 2/9 CNY celebration) or $10 Mimi café coupon. For each pair of pants or top, you will receive 5 raffle tickets or $5 Mimi café coupon. (Please print your name and phone number on the back of the tickets).

2.     2.  Please bring your wallet to school to buy the cloths if you or your kids need them for the parade and CNY party (kids can wear them to their regular school during CNY as well).  The price is $10 per set or per dress and $5 per top or pants. It is “First come, first served” base.

3.     3.  We plan to do this exchange before Chinese New Year every year from now on. This is also open to our Riverside community even though some of them do not have kids in our school.   We welcome ALL to join us on Parade and CNY Celebration. Super good GIFTS only for  Kids who Parade on 1/26 morning. Happy New Year!  Thanks.
