Minutes from 11/26/2018
Meeting called to order at 6:40pm.
Kim Ramos moves to suspend the bylaws that prohibit us to conduct a regular meeting. Maria Grijalva seconded. Without objection, bylaws have been suspended.

Agenda Items
1. Normas Christmas Party: Dec 8th at Normas house.
2. Election Reflection: Martha Guerrero was elected. Big win for Democrats, nationally. The board and members discussed who won and lost in the November elections.
3. Bylaw Changes: Bring drafts at January meeting. Possible changes include: dual endorsement, waiting to endorse until after the filing deadline, change quorum to possibly make it so that there’s 2 executive members and 1 member, changing membership fees to $20 except low-income, students, senior 50+, and fee waiver for homeless or zero-income.
4. 2020 Election Game Plan: Many seats available for possible members of the board to run for office. Possible at-large elected position for Mayor.
5. Brown Act Presentation Proposal: Can be a part of a membership drive. Charge $10 to non-members who want to join in the presentation and that will also be used for their membership fee.
Maria Grijalva moves to hire a Professional Registered Parliamentarian to do a presentation on Brown Act and spend no more than $300. Kim Ramos seconded. Passed unanimously. The Brown Act presentation is currently awaiting confirmation to be on February 25th.
