Hello,

I'm a new River5 user. I noticed that for one feed I'm subscribed to the items appear in chronological, rather than reverse-chronological order. See feed URL and screenshot below.

Perhaps it has to do with it being a category feed on this WordPress blog? The feed itself looks valid but I'm not an RSS expert. All of my other feeds are reverse-chronological as expected.

First, I have to say -- I don't know the answer, and it would take me a while to get it for certain, and honestly I don't think this is a bug, rather it's a behavior.

The dates you're looking at are the pubDate element from the feed. It just echoes what's in the feed.

Your screen shot omits the feed name, that line also has a date/time -- and that is when the feed was read. Those items were all ready at the same time.

This something that gets reported by a lot of early users. It'll make more sense after you've been reading your river for a while.

Okay gotcha. I have a follow-up question, which applies to all of my feeds in MyRiver:

Currently in MyRiver, all of the items from each individual feed are displayed together. E.g. all items from Feed 1, then all items from Feed 2, and so on (screenshot 1). However, I was expecting them to be sorted the way that they are in MyOPMLFeeds (screenshot 2), with items from the different feeds interspersed, with the latest item on top, the next most recent item second, as in a river of news.

Tl;dr My question is: are MyRiver and MyOPMLFeeds designed to sort/display feed items differently? Or are they supposed to display items in the same way and I simply messed up my River5 installation. I've attached my myRiver.txt file, for reference.

Wait a while. It takes some time for your river to stabilize. I'm sure it'll all make sense once you've given the feeds a chance to update.
