Prayer Invite

We had a terrific time of fellowship and study at the Perkins
yesterday. We studied the first chapter of Acts, and came to the
conclusion that the main characters may have included Peter and Paul,
but the main character was the Holy Spirit and the provision of His
power that enabled the great acts of the apostles. We agreed that
without that power, churches may be successful by the standards of the
world, but they will be without the primary power source and the
presence of the Holy Spirit.
We do not want to lack the Holy Spirit of God in any way, shape, or
form in our individual lives and in the life of the church. From the
baptism of the Spirit (which we receive at conversion) to the daily
filling of the Spirit (which we receive as we offer ourselves a living
sacrifice- willing to be used by God on a continuous basis) we want to
be bathed in His presence. And that what Wednesday night prayer time
is all about. It is all about asking the Spirit of God to go before us
into this community as we seek to fulfill His Great
(Everyday)Commission.
I wish to invite you to go to the throne of Grace on a daily basis
individually, but I want to invite you and encourage you to come
fellowship with us around the Word and in corporate prayer for this
community and the body of believers that represent our church plant.
