Hey, my name is jerry and i was wondering if this group still exists.
apparently it's been overrun by spam.... anyway, i drive an '89 325i
cabrio and would be interested in meeting other E30 drivers in the
richmond area.

On Sept 25 and 26 Capital Ale House is having an Oktoberfest party:

"There is no cover charge and each guest of legal drinking age will
receive a complimentary traditional 1-liter Capital Ale House stein
upon entry. Families are welcome however anyone under the age of 21
must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Richmond, Innsbrook
and Midlothian events begin at 5:00pm each night and will last until
closing at 1:30am.

"Fill your stein with your choice of any Paulaner or Hacker Pschorr
beers on draft.

"Menu items will include: Giant pretzels with sweet mustard,
bratwurst, knockwurst, sauerbraten and dumplings with ginger snap
gravy, Jaegerschnitzel, Roast Chicken, German potato salad, red
cabbage and sauerkraut as well as our regular menu offerings in the
restaurant."

Although it may not be the best time for us to get together again, it
should be a good, beer-swilling time, and would be interesting to see
a bunch of German vehicles parked outside...

good point, Cap ale at Inns Brook in the west end.  I think I'm bring two other BMW guys.  We'll be there regardless, the Oktoberfest at Capital Ale is an outdoor event and is a lot of fun.  It might be really hard to find parking all together.  We might want to park near by

If anyone has a spare E30 drivers seat laying around of any kind let
me know -- I need something temporary until I can find a leatherette
sport seat or a complete sport seat set.

Its gonna be a nice little meet, I'm bringing my e30 and I've got two buddies coming with an e46 and a e36.  I took it upon my self to go scope out the new Oktoberfest Beers on Tuesday, delicious.
