On June 20th, the RAC has hit by lightning, causing damage to almost anything that was plugged in, in the theatre.  Over the past 7 months, we have been repairing, replacing, and troubleshooting all of these system.  Many of them multiple times, as some system have been repaired and failed and failed again.  Due to the hard work of the RAC staff and our great user groups, no event was canceled.  Many of our user groups had to spend extra time just to get the lights on for a rehearsal, or testing the new projector just an hour before we opened the house for opening night of Les Misérables.   We take great pride in the fact that most people never knew that anything was amiss.  We apologize to those that did notice and most of all to our user groups.  We appreciated the extra work you put in to make your event a success here.  We couldn't have done it with you.

We are now back and better than ever.  We would like to celebrate this accomplishment with a Grand Reopening on Friday,  February, 28th at 7 PM with a concert by  Pro Arte Quartet.  The Pro Arte Quartet performs throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, has performed at the White House, and is the resident ensemble of the Chazen Museum of Art, for whom they perform a series of five live radio broadcasts per season.   Their recording of Dvorak Quartets, Op. 34 and 51 was released in 2001, the first in a series of the entire quartets of Dvorak.  Come out and enjoy a night of great classical music.  You can purchase tickets at River Arts on Water, the community center, and here;

Thanks for supporting the Arts in Sauk Prairie,
