A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped make The Wizard of Oz a success.  We have never sold out a HS musical performance at the RAC before this year and to sell out a 5 show run is amazing.  Thank you for supporting our students so strongly!  It was appreciated by everyone.

The Sauk Praire Theatre Guild's production of "A Christmas Carol" is December 2nd-3rd at 7 PM and 4th at 2 PM.   Written by Charles Dickens and adapted by Kathryn Schultz Miller, this joyous musical play based on the world's most popular Christmas story with traditional Christmas songs and music will delight audiences. Favorite characters - Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, Marley's Ghost, Mr. Fezziwig, Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future and a host of others- will bring the spirit of Christmas to the hearts of everyone, young and old alike.  Cast members range in age from 7-68 years old and are from the Sauk Prairie and Lodi areas. "A Christmas Carol" is packed with humor, excitement, drama, music and heartwarming moments with everything you need for a fun and memorable Christmas event! This children's production, filled with your favorite Christmas carols, is fun for the whole family.  http://www.sptheatreguild.org/

Our friends at River Arts, Inc. have a new space and gallery on Water St.  There is an open house on Friday, Dec 2 from 4-7 PM.  Join them for some holiday bonhomie, beverages, snacks, and shopping.  Their new phone number is 608-643-5215  and email is in...@riverartsinc.org.  I generally do not post information here about their events, so if you are interested, check out their website, email list, Facebook, and Twitter.  http://www.riverartsinc.org.

Sauk Prairie Youth Choir, Friday, December 16, 7:00 PM and Saturday, December 17, 7:00 PM.  Sauk Prairie Youth Choir offers youth between the ages of 8 and 18 the opportunity to participate in one large choir as well as smaller age-appropriate ensembles. SPYC is a great way to engage our community's youth in artistic activities that promote self-confidence, teamwork, responsibility and commitment. Sing it, feel it, live it!  https://www.ticketturtle.com/index.php?ticketing=rrart

Interested in working at the RAC?  Check out our new email list;  http://groups.google.com/group/ractechs?hl=en  I will post all upcoming gigs at the RAC here.  Please respond to this for gigs if you are interested.  If you are new to the RAC, please email me your skills and to setup an interview.  We generally have a couple of paying gigs each month and plenty of opportunities to volunteer and learn some new skills.

The RAC is now on Facebook;  https://www.facebook.com/riverartscenter   Diane Sullivan won two tickets to Wizard of Oz, just for "liking" us.

We are also on Twitter!  http://twitter.com/RiverArtsCenter  This is a great way to get short updates on what is going on the River Arts Center.  I will post info about ticket sales, upcoming events, artists, and parking and traffic info.  I might also post information on discounts and free tickets.  :)

The RAC is available for rentals;  http://www.riverartscenter.org/rentals/ rates, applications, and facility calendar are all available on our website.

Thanks for supporting the Arts in Sauk Prairie,

Brad
