A case done by me recently forwarding all of u

A  14 year girl  with backache  1st  consulted  orthopaedic a year back  . He suggested for xray  of dorsal spine  AP /LAT  and found  scoliosis of DL spine. She was   told that  her backache is due to scoliosis and she has to go for physiotherapy  .She took physiotherapy for a year but she  was not  not relieved  of pain. Her parent’s  consulted  spine specialist after a year. Spine specialist  asked for  MRI and radiologist  reported osteoid osteoma at posterior part of right 7th rib which was confirmed by CT scan and isotope scanning.

The root cause of  backache  was  OO  at right 7th rib  which was creating painful  scoliosis  of dorsal spine.  She was  advised  for RFA of right 7th rib.

RFA  of OO done under CT guidance

Pt was discharged on 2nd day with no nidus pain.
