M.R. GAWN made three of these especially for us! H T Dance was one he
already had sitting around but ended up not using it so he threw it in
here as well. Give these a listen and let me know what you think:

Personally, I like Discredit It and Centering. We can either use them
as-is or I was thinking if we find a good rapper vocalist, we could
add our own verse on top of whichever one we choose, like a short "RIT
Skeptics" rap.

I really like Discredit it. I think we could put Jon's description of
"Ask A Skeptic" in the middle, where Mr. GAWN's lyrics are now, hope he
wouldn't mind. Although I think it would be hilarious to add one of us
rapping into it. Centering is also nice.

Wow! Those are great. Do we have Mr. GAWN's permission to use those in Ask a Skeptic? I can see using centering as opening and closing music, then maybe parts of the other music in between as a transition?

Anyway, if you get the chance, please relay our gratitude for his help!

Mr. GAWN was kind enough to render an instrumental version of
"Discredit It" for me real quick. I've uploaded it to the files
section.

He'd like to reuse the ones we don't choose, so we should try to only
pick one of them. Let me know!

My vote: "Discredit It"

Can't wait for the debate Friday! I had no idea so many people would
be willing and able to come..!

To tag on about the debate. IV pulls about 120+ at their firday night meeting, RIT Crusade has been advertising it, so that's another 60 or so, plus i'm sure skeptics has been getting the word out, so yeah, there's gonna be a lot of people there. I'll admit I'm biased towards the pro-God group, but I'm still curious as to what arguments skeptics is going to be bringing forth. I believe that there is going to be a lot dialog going on, so it's gonna be good no matter which side wins.

Would it be possible to have a listen to them all at the meeting and vote then?

Yeah... The facebook group IV created has 130+ definite,  about 120 maybes. Skeptics a bringing a few people, plus people who just saw the signs... I suspect that the turnout will be pretty decent.

Personally I try to remove all personal biases from evaluating truth, but I guess that's part of what makes me a Skeptic. Skeptics and IV have been very careful to design the event so that it is not two concurrent lectures, and not just a pointless shouting match. Hopefully it will be a meaningful dialog.
Hope to see everyone there.

Sure though I'm not sure I'll be there. Midterms... but let me know
what everyone decides.
