Joint Communique and Recommendatory Paper

Given the inadequacy of farmers’ accessibility to quality rice seeds in Bangladesh and India, there is need for exploring avenues and channels which could make quality rice seed available and accessible to farmers at right time and at affordable prices. Bilateral cooperation has the potential of making rice seeds market more competitive in terms of price, quality and leading to greater market efficiency.

In order to indicate these issues and to put forward the recommendations for improvement in the cooperation between the two countries, CUTS International, India and Unnayan Shamannay, Bangladesh have prepared a Joint Communique and a Recommendatory Paper.
