This workshop is a great opportunity to learn how to address homelessness and improve downtown safety and nightlife using evidence based practices.

But space is limited. Register soon. I look forward to seeing you in Newark!

Best,
Joel

Happy New Year! I'm reaching out to let you know that our partner, the Rutgers University Center for Public Security (RCPS) - Newark, is hosting a Proactive Alliance public safety workshop on March 4, 2026

Attendees will be introduced to the Proactive Alliance relationship-based policing framework and case studies discussing how the model was used to address homelessness in Wichita, KS, and enhance downtown safety in Fort Worth, TX. The workshop offers an introduction to evidence-based public safety models, providing a blueprint for the "co-production" of safety in their own city.

It's free to attend, lunch will be provided, and space is limited.

The Details:
Date: March 4, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Rutgers University, Newark

I hope you or your team will be able to attend. Here is a link to the flyer with more information and registration details.
