Invitation: Let’s spotlight your research journey

Dear Rising Scholars,

Your journeys continue to inspire many of us, and we would love to highlight more about you and your work through a new video series that showcases the personal stories behind your research experiences.

We’re inviting you to share a short story about a defining moment or challenge you’ve faced in your career. It could be:

• Navigating your field as a woman in a male-dominated space,
• Overcoming the hurdles of publishing a paper,
• Managing collaboration within a diverse team,
• “A Day in the Life of a Researcher” or “A Day in the Life of a PhD Student.” This is a more casual, vlog-style video where you can take us through your daily routine: your commute, workspace, typical activities, and what a normal day looks like for you.
• Or any other experience that shaped your growth as a researcher.

The idea is to not just give advice but for others to learn from your story, the journey, the lessons, and the reflections. The video can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 15 minutes, depending on what you’re comfortable with and how much you want to share.

If you’re interested in participating, please reply to this email to let us know. We’ll follow up with simple recording guidelines and schedule details.

We’re excited to celebrate your stories and showcase the incredible diversity and resilience within our community.
