Hi everyone,
I am originally from Zimbabwe but currently based at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia (Central Eastern Europe). My main research interests lie in the development of more sustainable approaches to deuteration [i.e., replacing C-H bonds with C-D bonds (D = deuterium, an isotope of hydrogen)], and finding new compounds for which deuteration would enhance their performance or stability.
I am interested in collaborating with researchers who work with African-derived natural products or medicinal compounds (e.g., from traditional medicines), especially those who know of compounds which tend to decompose or degrade rapidly once extracted, in storage, or when administered. If anyone in this group is involved and interested in working with me to find solutions to inhibit the breakdown of these compounds and make them more useful to the community, please drop me an email at ross.janse...@fkkt.uni-lj.si.Thank you!
With best wishes,
Ross.
