Greetings Activists and Advocates!
I am writing to you today to announce an exciting project spearheaded by the GRCC Women’s Issues NOW (WIN) student organization, in partnership with Planned Parenthood Affiliates of MI, NOW GR, and other community groups aimed at engaging and inspiring a new generation of leaders. Join us for the 2013 Women in Leadership Summit!
This daylong leadership summit will take place on Monday, October 14 starting at 10 am with dinner and closing remarks ending at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $15 for students. The ticket price includes a boxed lunch, buffet dinner, and parking.
We are featuring many community leaders such as Michigan State Representative Winnie Brinks as our keynote, State of Michigan Board of Education Member Lupe Ramos-Montigny, and State Senator Rebekah Warren as panelists, and many, many more women leaders!

After spending Monday being inspired by the Women in Leadership Summit, join us Tuesday, October 15 at 5pm for the WLS Activist Training. This training will provide short, skills based trainings for local activists. Breakout sessions include:
Skills Track: Branding Your Campaign, Media & Messaging for Beginners, Organizing 101, and Social Media for Activists
Issues Track: Domestic Violence 101, Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention, Talking About Choice: Reproductive Justice Advocacy, and Feminism 101
