Dear Friends,

My second daughter Gaytri Bhatia, who is a regular part of a treking
team in Uttarakhand is joining her local leader to work for ten days
on 22nd July.  They have adopted a thousand families to help relocate
them in every way.

Their need is urgent as rains are still on and winter is fast
approaching. If you wish to contribute you are welcome. All
requirements will be purchased from  local areas. Please see the
attachment.

You've all heard about the state of Uttarakhand. Many are at work, serving
the state. There have been lots of appeals for help in various ways.

I share with you one I received today, by a very dear friend that heads Lok
Chetna Manch. Their work is hands-on and thorough. The appeal is for funds,
so they can be diverted to appropriate areas.

You can send cheques directly (details in the enclosed attachment), or send
it my way/let me know, I'll have it received.
