My Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Please share a thought for my ailing daughter Dinusha just at this moment in this season of lent. I know how much VC community has supported this child since 2009 and recently also Lalith thatha prayed about her at a Lenten service. 

My daughter is Dinusha and she is just 28 and got married about two years back. She had SLE in 2009 and was treated by Dr Chandima De Mel and got recovered and got married in Jan 2012. 

On 9th May 2014 whilst at work (She works at Planters Society Fund) she complained a severe pain and was rushed to Lanka Hospital and next we knew was that both her kidneys have failed. Since then she has gone through a difficult period. She is treated by Dr Surjit Somiah. Because of her very delicate condition no local doctor was prepared to treat her. We have spent now more than 4.0 m for past 10 months and almost every thing I had was spent on her and now still I am spending and now credit card balances have sored exceeding 2.0 m and we look hopeless but we trust on God. I am sending you some hospital reports etc;

Now she is on dialysis for past 10 months and now it is happening almost every other day and I am writing this desperate mail as her condition is very bad. Now almost every other day she has to do dialysis and is very expensive and also takes Ayuervdic treatment. Her Creatinine level is 14.2 and this morning (23rd March) her blood pressure is 120/200. Now doctors are wondering whether to do a transplant and we had a discussion with the doctor today too and we too prayerfully is considering this option. Actually she is also going to work with all her difficulties as she gets a salary and that also contributes towards her expenses. 

Now I dont work and is fully dependent on tuition which I do most of the days till 4.00 in the morning to care for her. I know if I was at Water Board I could have raised finances required through staff contributions alone. Like Naaman in the scriptures I am prepared to bend 7 times or more as I need to save this life.

Now she thinks of a transplant it will also cost more than 3.0 m and life time treatment and also still they are not sure of whether it will work. In that event she needs a O+ kidney. So please pray as we need finances, a donor of kidney and also she should be fit enough to go through the process.

I still believe of famous scripture portion I learned from Lalith Thatha in 2007 Mark 9:23 Everything is possible for him who believes and I still believe her kidneys will start functioning soon without a transplant.

Dear brother, Pushpakumar,

 

Just assuring you that we all are with you and your family in prayer, believing and interceding for Dinusha and all of you. While all these plans of medical experts will be revealed to you all and also you yourselves will be led in your mind and heart to make 'tentative' plans to meet the needs of the child, we pray that God will awaken your spirit more and more to see that there is a plan for Dinusha in the heart of the Heavenly Father and everything is already set to make that plan work perfectly.. and also to know and believe that all her needs will be met in this journey of her to the heart of God.

 

All this is easily said than done, but we have the power of the Holy Spirit to make the impossible happen.
