Renewed Risecamp Activity in Past Weeks

As most of you know by now, we have had to postpone the April 11th
event in Mumbai due to a number of reasons, which were outlined in my
last post. Most importantly I want to streamline what Risecamp is
about and what could be the outcomes of the event.

However, I have noticed a spurt of last minute activity and new
joinees that have signed up on the wiki. I am now enthused to start
working towards an event later this year, the date of which needs to
be figured out.

I would like suggestions on the following things:

1. One area which you would like to focus upon for our first Risecamp.
Instead of having different areas of focus I would like to narrow down
to one, maybe two areas. Which should they be? Please be as specific
as possible.

2. Location. IIT Mumbai was the preferred location, which didn't
really materialize. However, please suggest other locations in Mumbai.

3. Speakers local to Mumbai. I would like to keep the first event as
local, making it easier for people to attend and not worrying about
transporting people from other cities. Based on the area that you
describe earlier, who would you like to see speak at the event? Can
you arrange for this?

4. Sponsor or backer. Can you suggest anyone who might be willing to
sponsor the event or back the event? I am thinking like Tata Jagriti
Yatra, Tata Jaago re. The success of these events largely owes to the
corporate backers.

Lets get this thing off the ground!
