Hi,

I would like to understand the microarchitectures of the most recent Boom V4 properly. However, I cannot find any documentation of it.

I have checked the Boom document: https://docs.boom-core.org/en/latest/ and the GitHub page: https://github.com/riscv-boom/riscv-boom, but I cannot find relevant information.

Could someone please help me find the right documents?

Thank you!
Chen

There is unfortunately no published information on boomv4.
Briefly, boomv4 adds numerous substantial critical path and physical design improvements over boomv3. It should be much easier to tapeout an aggressive configuration of boomv4.

Microarchitecturally, the most drastic change is the new support for banked issue queues and register files.

Thank you, Jerry.

Is there a timeline for when you plan to release the documentation of Boom V4?
