Flavoursome broths, heaps of seafood and meat, and fresh stringy noodles, Seven Hotpot is always a safe option for Chinese hotpot. The restaurant in Dubai Marina is often packed with hungry diners plunging ladles into simmering pots and scooping out mounds of juicy meat and traditional Chinese vegetables. The pared-back spot is perfect for a thrifty group outing, starting at just AED110 for a portion that could easily serve four. You can even split the pot to sample two varieties of broth alongside a vast selection of ingredients to dip.
For authentic Chinese hotpot in Dubai, Nine Squares on Jumeirah Beach Road ticks all the boxes. Here, the bubbling pan is split into nine sections so you can carefully keep an eye on every ingredient, rather than losing them in the steaming liquid. Choose from a variety of spice levels, select your meat, fish and vegetables (the homemade black tofu is delicious), and cook your own dinner in delightfully cosy surroundings. We recommend booking a table in advance as this eatery is very popular, especially on weekends.
Rumoured to be one of the best hotpots in Dubai, this restaurant is located in a number of different locations so avid hotpot goers will never be far. In classic hotpot fashion, you can choose the flavour and spicy level of your broth along with all your favourite ingredients. Little Lamb also has a lovely selection of side dishes including scallion pancakes and dumplings as well as main courses like sweet and sour chicken and spicy shrimp.
This wholesome and casual dining experience will satisfy all your hotpot needs. With a large variety of ingredients, and renowned for its freindly staff, this restaurant is perfect to catch up with your nearest and dearest over a spicy broth. Gulou is definitely not one to miss when it comes to a hotpot in Dubai.
After some digging, we found out that the brand had posted an IG post on their page on 28 July 2023, announcing the launch of the new dessert. Each cup seems to be generously packed with creamy taro paste, layered with chunks of chewy mochi in between. Soft and QQ taro balls crown the yammy dessert.
Besides their unique desserts, the hotpot restaurant is also known for their savoury steamboat bases such as Si Chuan Spicy Soup and Golden Pumpkin Chicken Soup. Visit on weekdays before 5:30pm to enjoy 25% off your bill!
Tucked away in Marina Square @marinasquaresg ,@shangpinhotpot is a hidden hotpot gem that also serve up IG-worthy bingsu & milk tea hotpot alongside authentic Sichuan Chinese dishes that is satisfying without burning a hole in our wallets!!
Offering heartwarming broth such as tongue-tingling Si Chuan Spicy Soup, Golden Chicken Soup or Tomato Soup, alongside a wide diverse range of ingredients like Shang Pin Beef, US Black Pork Slices, Beef Cheese Balls, Sea Urchin Ball, Chongqing-style noodles etc. Seafood lover can go for gourmet range of fresh seafood such Soon Hock Fish, Crab, Premium Crab Meat, Bullfrog etc. For the more adventures, can go for beef omasum, beef tripe, kidney and liver.
For the sweet tooth, they have two regular milk teas to choose from, including a Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, otherwise opt for the very IG-worthy Milk Tea Pot, which comes with soft and chewy yam balls, grass jelly, red beans, and more. Is a pity they sold out when I'm there. Thankfully their equally famous, Korean-inspired flavoured bingsu is still available. I got the Oreo bingsu and it didn't disappoint. Coming from a hotpot place, this bingsu actually taste so much better a dessert shop that would offer. I would love to go back just for that! **Note, you can also find Shang Pin Hotpot in Parkway Parade @parkwayparadesg but these unique dessert offerings are only available at the Marina Square @marinasquaresg outlet.
I ordered the Pork Slices and Shang Pin Beef. The quality of meat is good and they are sliced thinly making them easy to cook via shabu shabu style. All the ingredients here are fresh and with quality.
There is also wide selection of sauces and fruits at self service counter available for $4 per person. The sauces range from sesame, soya, peanut, chilli, fermented bean paste, etc. Is a very wide variety!
We got a mix of 4 soup bases - Si Chuan Spicy Soup, Tomato Soup, Collagen Soup and Golden (Pumpkin) Chicken Soup.
The Si Chuan soup was indeed spicy, like what you'd get from mala. The other 3 soup bases were pretty great to cook your meat in, and even better when paired with the self-made sauces.
Imo the two best soups in Shang Pin hotpot. Tomato soup is a must order and chicken pumpkin soup is a pleasant surprise to the tastebuds. No crowd for weekday lunch. Ordered lots of meat and it turned out to be less than $90 for 2 pax. Worth it. It was my friend's birthday and they prepared a large fruit platter at the end of the meal. Chicken meat is a must order (super tender), can skip the beef cubes (quite hard to control when it is fully cooked). The other meat dishes were good too.
Randomly discovered this gem in Marina Square. And it became my to-go hotpot restaurant from now onwards! Quality of food definitely not below HDL, especially the beef. The Golden Chicken Soup was a good recommendation by the staff. Portion is generous and the set can feed 2-3 ppl. Will definitely be back!
You can choose from 3 soup bases - we did tomato & chicken (split down the middle of the pot), & spicy mala (a smaller pot in the center). Being a non-spicy lover, mala wasn't my favourite but I did dip some beef slices in it - the mala really packs a punch & so I appreciated it being there. Surprisingly, I preferred the tomato soup over the chicken for its rich flavours. The chicken soup was lighter on the palette, also enjoyable - so I feel this was a good trio to select.
Pretty spoiled for choice with such a wide selection of ingredients to choose from. From the meats to the vegetables, mushrooms & tofu - ingredients are fresh & good. It's actually difficult for me to pick a favourite ? Service is fast & attentive, & I would love to return.
Sauces are self-service from a little counter - I helped myself to heaps of garlic. Drinks are $2 freeflow, but on hindsight I would've skipped this as being surrounded by amazing flavours throughout my meal, I ended up drinking mostly water as is my usual habit.
Sorry all hai di lao but this place wins HDL in many ways. First, much shorter queues and more quiet environment. Second, cheaper if not equal price. Third, amazing tomato broth. Ingredients used are fresh. Quantity and quality both hit the mark. Although it does not provide as many fancy services as hai di lao, it makes an effort. There was once a face changing performance during our meal. Beat that.
Shang Pin is definitely a cheaper alternative as compared to other famous places. The concept and food is similar, and yet you can enjoy it at a cheaper price. I will definitely come back again to satisfy my hot pot cravings ?
Lovely dinner. Service and food are great. Cheaper than those popular places. 6 pax - $207 had prawn balls, pork, beef, vegetables, fish, etc. soup base : mala, chicken soup and tomato. This is at Marina Square
Not the typical HDL or BIAP but Shang Pin was equally satisfying without burning a hole in our wallets!! Had to get the typical tomato soup (relatively ketchup-y and sweeter compared to other tomato soups but not complaining!!) / as for the Sichuan Spicy Soup, we got the 小辣 but oh boy it was REALLY pretty 辣 and 呛, would say you could give it a miss for this soup?? / the most surprising hit was the chicken pumpkin soup!! I expected the broth to be thick (cos pumpkin) but no eh, it was really light and flavourful and the pumpkin taste was very subtle, giving a refreshing taste to the soup. Ingredients rather typical, quite fresh, nothing to pick on! Very comfortable space (rather empty on a weekend lunch), service was good! Will I be back? Maybe? Tho SLF is still my go-to hotpot place regardless!!
