Your help is needed to construct shelters for our animals. At Risala Gardens, we strive to expose youth and their families to nature and agriculture through growing food and raising animals. We currently have a horse and goats. They have temporary canopy shelters, but these have proven inadequate during severe storms and other harsh weather conditions. In an effort to provide our farm animals with the best conditions possible to ensure their health and well-being, we must construct shelters for them. We plan to construct two wooden "Run-In" shelters. One will be for our horses and one will be for our goats.
Immediate help is needed in order to make this possible. Funds contributed will go towards the building of these two structures. Any additional funds contributed will go towards additional fencing and other farm site developments.
Students and community members who frequent the Risala Gardens Urban Farm benefit greatly from being able to interact with animals that they usually don't have a chance to see in person. We want to keep all of our animals healthy and well taken care of.
