Help to Empower the Next Generation Through Nature, Agriculture & Spirituality!

The Problems:
Children’s Nature Deficiency
Abundance of GMO foods
Need for Sustainability & Self-sufficiency

The Solution:
An 11.5-acre Educational Urban Farm
Naturally-Grown Produce & Free-Range Animals
Educational programs for youth and their families

In modern times, most urban youth are spending most their time indoors, both at school and at home. Tablets, video games and social media have replaced outdoor activities. Furthermore, most of us have no clue where our food is coming from or what has been done to it before it got to us. If people were aware of what is being done to much of the food, they would likely be terrified to eat it. Lastly, it is becoming more apparent that we cannot rely upon large corporations for our basic needs, and that we must begin to prepare ourselves to be able to survive no matter what circumstances we may face in the future.

Risala Gardens is developing an 11.5-acre educational urban farm right in Metro-Atlanta. This space gives urban youth an opportunity to experience nature and agriculture, which directly benefits their mind, body and soul. All fruits and vegetables are grown naturally and organically and animals are also raised organically and are free-range, which helps to provide access to healthy, naturally grown foods to local community members. A variety of educational programs are being provided to educate youth and their families on ways to live more sustainably and self-sufficiently. These include NAS (Nature, Agriculture & Spirituality) Academy and the Sustainable-Living Workshop series.

Risala Gardens currently has goats, sheep, a horse, an archery range and garden space for growing crops. Once in full-production, the farm will be able to sustain itself. However, to get there, we need your help. We are need of an additional $5,000 to complete the first phase of farm development. Contributions of all sizes are greatly appreciated.

Proposed Farm Features

2-acres of crop production
Aquaponic Fish Ponds
Horses
Chickens
Sheep & Goats
