I have tried logging in using my xbox credentials but it does not work. Trying to "forget password" has a "Email sent" for any garbage email in the correct format so I am unable to test with email it would have originally gone under.

I'm having this issue with Klarna. Which is a total nightmare because it means I can't pay for things which I have purchased, and is majorly stressing me out.What I found on the apple website, which they really should make more clear is this line:**If you choose the Hide my Email option, only the app or website you created the account with can use this random email address to communicate with you. **

What that means is that the random email address, in my case, was generated for Etsy, and it was that which was used to set up Klarna, but now when I try to use that same email address to sign in and pay on Klarna, I can't receive a verification code because it wasn't set up specifically for use by them. So nothing they send me to that email address will ever come through.

There is a reddit thread about it, I don't know if it will help your daughter but it tell you all the things you need to do.

Unfortunately the chances are the account has been sold/deleted as detected as hacked, in which case there is little chance of getting anything back . I presume you daughter has checked her junk email etc for the password reset code.

She also needs to change her email password if it was the same as the EPIC account and in the future make sure everything is set up with 2 step verification.

So sorry this has happened, its horrible, it feels almost violating not to mention the time and money that has gone in to the account I hope your daughter is ok

@SolitaryTree this sounds the same as us except we did have the 2 step authentication. This morning she woke up to another alert on his phone from her google account having been accessed. Luckily we were able to change the password so have saved that one but they had managed to turn the two step authentication off so I guess somehow they managed that on her epic games account too.

We are in contact via email so hopefully it will get sorted out and fingers crossed can be restored to what it was. We have used a card to purchase v bucks so hopefully that will help us to verify it.
