ScummVMis a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical adventure and role-playing games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed! ScummVM is a complete rewrite of these games' executables and is not an emulator.
ScummVM supports an extensive library of over 325 adventure games, including classic titles from iconic studios such as LucasArts, Sierra On-Line, Revolution Software, Cyan, Inc. and Westwood Studios. Alongside groundbreaking games like the Monkey Island series, Broken Sword, Myst, Blade Runner and numerous well-known titles, you can experience truly obscure adventures and discover hidden gems.
You can find a full list with details on which games are supported and how well on the compatibility page. ScummVM is continually improving, so check back often. Among the systems on which you can play those games are Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, Android, PS Vita, Switch, Dreamcast, AmigaOS, Atari/FreeMiNT, RISC OS, Haiku, PSP, PS3, Maemo, GCW Zero and many more...
Now, good luck, and fingers crossed you can find the perp. Otherwise, your bureau chief will have you getting up close and personal with toilet duties for the rest of your career. Oh, and PS: The viewpoints of different aliens differ. For the Bartender, who has segmented eyes, even the original developers felt it was difficult and left in a cheat key of ScrollLock to switch back to a single viewpoint. Feel free to use it if, at any point, the flashback becomes too much for you :)
On Wednesday 1st May Google announced the list of participants accepted for this year's Google Summer of Code and we are very happy to report that 4 contributors have been accepted to work on various parts of the ScummVM project this summer.
ScummVM requires game data files to operate. Frequently, especially when copying from the old media, the files can be damaged. Thus, a system that could let the end-users compute checksums and compare them with known good references is desirable.
Macromedia Director is a popular multimedia authoring tool from the 90s, and many iconic adventure titles have been released using it. Improving its support in ScummVM will preserve gaming history and provide players with access to beloved classics.
K-D Labs created qdEngine and it has been used in several point-and-click adventure games, primarily in Russian, and also translated into Lithuanian, Czech and English. The most known games are Pilot Brothers 3 and Pilot Brothers 3D.
ScummVM includes a global fully configurable keymapper, but this requires engines to be adapted to use it. The goal of this project is to fully integrate ScummVM keymapper into a large number of our supported engines.
We also wanted to take the time to thank everyone who applied to ScummVM for this year's Google Summer of Code programme. Unfortunately, not every application was successful, but we are so grateful for the interest shown and would love you all to still consider helping with ScummVM in some capacity in the future.
1987: In the small town of Thimbleweed Park, two officers-a-reno are investigating a murder. The body, still in the process-a-reno of being pixelated, lies in the river. The agents meet a video game developer, a mysterious clown who never takes off his make-up, and many other strange characters.
Step into the shoes of a heroic archeologist on October 26, 1930, as a total solar eclipse akin to the one happening today over North America looms over Cairo. Knowing of the Ardognus prophecy, created by the powerful high priest Hahmid III, you must find and destroy the hidden shrine devoted to Ra before the eclipse occurs.
Our modern reimplementation of the Freescape engine features graphics using hardware mode (OpenGL) at arbitrary resolution. The initial Total Eclipse support includes DOS (EGA/CGA modes), ZX Spectrum, and Amstrad CPC. More releases are coming at a later date. Additionally, there are three playable demos if you want to test the game. Please contact us if you have some other release or demo.
The best part of the emulator is that, in most cases (or at least if your computer is relatively new), the graphics will be even better than they are on the original consoles. This is because the Wii hardware has a capacity that's quite inferior to modern graphics cards, and this can make all the difference in games with high definition (yes, Wii in HD).
Setting up Dolphin can be a bit difficult, since there are a lot of options available that improve the performance but worsen the graphic quality. You can also configure the Wii controllers however you want, even connecting the Wiimote to your PC (if you have an adapter). Of course, it's best to use an ordinary game controller for almost every game.

Hi,
I just installed virtual here server (v3.7.3) on a Synology NAS (with DSM 6.2-23739 Update 2 ) and it's not working with iloks on MacPro with osx 10.13 .
Is it a known problem ?
I can see ilok in the list, I can connect to it, but when I start ilok manager or protools for example, it freezes until I disconnect the ilok.
Then it report an error.
I tried, but it hasn't been concluent.
Always not working on high sierra, and I made a test with Sierra (10.12) and it's not working either.
I installed virtualhere_3.7.3_x86_64.spk on the NAS. It's a Synology RS2418RP+, is it the right installer ? In the Synology tab, the say paquet architecture is Denverton, but I can't find in your list.
I just think its something wrong with your synology. Do you anything else you could run virtualhere server on like a raspberry pi or a pc or linux box? If so install virtualhere server on that and see if its ok then
Usually this is no problem except if you turn off Auto-Find in the client, then you will need to Specify the Synology hub colon 17570 to connect when you Manually Add the server ip by right clicking USB Hubs->Specify Hubs.
I tried two different Macs with Mojave and with High Sierra. Same behavior as SlyLaM. iLok Manager see the dongle only sometimes and only when disconnecting in Virtual Here client. Also Freezes when I close the iLok manager until I disconnect the dongle.
with the same setup I also tried the eLicenser dongle. It is recognized by the eLicenser manager (not the same problem as iLok). But when I use it with Cubase I get a lot of eLincenser communication errors, wich not happens when the dongle is connected to the Mac directly.
If we connet an iLok shared by a windows server the iLok works well on the OSX workstation. Unfortunately on windows it is not possible to power down devices per port so we are running in the "iLok sharing error".
Sorry for the confusion. I want use an iLok (Gen2 and above) on Mac OSX High Sierra. The server is an Ubuntu. Power cycle works well but the iLok dont work on the Mac.
(iLok License Manager freezes, Pro Tools crashes...)
For testing i set up a second machine (i5 sandy bridge) with the linux trial build (4.0.8) with only 5 iLoks. All of them works as aspected. So i installed this version on the other machine, but nothing changed...
I can give you a key for your i5 instead so you can try that as the server for the iloks? Im not sure of the issue, but sounds like a hardware issue specifically. Email me at mail [at]
virtualhere.com (mail[at]virtualhere[dot]com)
Hello Michael,
thanks for your offer but i have already purchased a second license for testing purposes. I can not risk to migrate everything to the second machine and finally run into the same problems.
Hi,
I have a similar problem on High Sierra: my iLok 1 works perfectly with the client, but when I start using my iLok 3, the iLok License Manager and Ableton Live are freezing until i stop using it.
Any idea?
Thanks
Oh ok, maybe that needs to be mentioned on the homepage - I bought the license because I had the impression OSX is being supported :/ (And I bought it because I wasn't able to fix the problem within the 10 days trial period and thought the problem is on my end...)
The installed package version is 3.2.9 (= newest online version).
I'm not using 10.15 or higher, we're talking about 10.13 High Sierra here. So it seems I'm not the only one facing that problem, is there a workaround? Is the MacOS the problem or Synology or iLok or VirtualHere or the combination or the version numbers? Wich combination or wich software versions is/ are working for VirtualHere and iLok 2 + 3? Would a Windows client and a Raspberry Pi for example be a better choice?
