RIpul Board Nominations - Due September 30

Hey Folks,

It's time to nominate yourself to be on the RIpul board!  Due date is 9/30 for your nomination.  Here's the form!

We're going to elect RIpul board members a bit earlier than we have in years past.  The new members terms will still begin in 2025 but we'd like some overlap to ensure a smooth transition.  Jon Greenberg and Dan Dimascio will be leaving the board at the end of this year.  That leaves Matty Brier, Anna Carr, Sydney Curran, Steve Panasuik and Zach Raso on the board for 2025.  There are 2 DOW and 2 DOM vacancies.

General responsibilities include:

• Formulate ideas to enhance RIpul players experience (and beyond!)
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss and distribute out action items
• Execute on your action items outside of meetings individually or as a part of a small committee
• Adjudicate escalations (player safety, equity committee etc)

Some exciting things we're focused on in 2024:

• Youth outreach
• Non-summer league frisbee opportunities
• DOW experience/recruitment/retention/pickups
• Increasing player safety
• Expanding rules knowledge
• Social media and online community presence
• Your improvement initiatives you bring to the board with you!

The general process is:

1. You'll nominate yourself using this form by 9/30.
2. The board will reach out to your reference.
3. Your answers to the questions will be shared (like this!)
4. The community will do ranked choice voting

With only (2) DOW applicants, they will not need to be voted in, as there are (2) DOW vacancies.  So please welcome Maggie Emerick & Jenna Ramos to the Board of Directors!
