It may be the off-season, but the Board is working hard on exciting things coming in 2025!
DOW/DOC INDOOR TOURNAMENT
RIPUL will be hosting an Indoor DOW/DOC tournament at Teamworks in Warwick. Any DOW and DOC is eligible to play; you do NOT need to have played RIPUL before to sign up!
When: Saturday March 22, 2025
Where: Teamworks Warwick (170 Jefferson Blvd)
Time: 9am-12pm
Cost: $40 (sliding scale $25-40)
We are aiming to have (4) teams playing 5v5 in a round robin style tournament. If you are interested in playing, fill out this form and we will be in touch! There will likely be a gathering after the tournament, possibly at Proclamation Ale Company (right down the road).

RIPUL stands resolute in its commitment to being a place where everyone can play and compete in the sport of Ultimate. We encourage the core tenets of Spirit of the Game: mutual respect, communication, conflict resolution, and self-confidence, and expect all members of our league to use SOTG as a frame of reference when engaging with all members of the league on and off the field. Our league has been, and will be dedicated to being, a welcoming place for athletes of all gender identities and expressions to come together and play.
Trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming players are respected, included, and a valuable part of our community. We are committed to ensuring that all players are able to compete within the matchup preference that feels safest and most comfortable to them. The league does not require the disclosure of gender identity or biological sex in order to compete in RIPUL, and is dedicated to providing fair, safe, and competitive playing opportunities for all identities. Violence, hate, and division are not welcome in our league, and we will fiercely protect the safety of all players by the strict reinforcement of our rules and standards which are listed in our Community Agreement.
RIPUL places value in Spirit of the Game above all else and believes that a fully inclusive and welcoming league is central to this core belief. All people, regardless of gender identity, deserve access to sports because in a time of great uncertainty, Ultimate brings us joy, community, and play. COMMITTEES
RIPUL succeeds because we have so many people that volunteer their time to help make this league great. We have a few committees that are always looking for new members! If you have any interest in joining any of these committees or even volunteering, we’d love to have you and hear from you! Below is a form that includes a description of each committee (Youth Committee, Equity Committee, and Fun Committee) and how to join by becoming a member/volunteer: Volunteer Here!
CAPTAIN APPLICATION
The other reason RIPUL succeeds is due in large part to all our captains that volunteer every year. We are always looking for players to step up and captain teams each summer, and your chance is coming up! We will have our 2025 Captain Application go live sometime in late March. You can choose to sign up with a co-captain in mind, or as a single if you want (captain sets will be 1 DOW/DOC & 1 DOM). Captains also get to bypass the lottery and play for free! Captain’s duties are:
Drafting your team
Leading your team in huddles
Emailing your team any important information
We know that captaining can seem scary and ominous, but we have plenty of people to help you out! Whether it be for the draft, policies/procedures, or anything else; we are always here to help!
