People,

RIPUL 2023 is nearly here! Hope everyone is excited for another great summer of ultimate! We’re still looking for a couple more captains so please sign up if you are interested! Feel free to reach out to the RIPUL Board or League Admins if you’re on the fence or have questions.

2023 Season Info:

Game Nights: Monday & Wednesday 6:15-8:30p May 29th - August 9th

Tournament Date: Saturday August 12th (all day)

Fields Sites: Cole Street in Seekonk, Rehoboth Youth Soccer, see website for details

Cost: $100

Discounts: $40-off for new (to RIPUL) women-matching players (WMP). $20-off for players who recruit a new woman-matching player. Reimbursed after admission to the league.

Signing Up:

Mixed Signups open WEDNESDAY APRIL 12th! We will leave signups open for 24 hours! We will once again have a lottery style admission to the league. All league applicants are placed in a "pool", and then ALL players will be randomly drawn until we reach capacity. This process ensures that we are able to maximize signups and continue growing the league. Players who recruit a new WMP to RIPUL will also bypass the lottery.

Jerseys

We are accepting submissions for the jersey design as well! The winner will be decided from a subcommittee of Board members, and the winner will receive free entry to RIPUL! Please submit your design as a PDF to ad...@ripul.org. Submissions due by April 25th!

Baggage

Players can request to pair-up (baggage) with another player so long as they are: family, dating/married, or a veteran player with a new player (new to ultimate, NOT new to the league). All baggage requests will be reviewed by League Leadership to baggage if you think it is truly necessary. RIPUL is about meeting new people and playing different styles with different people. We do NOT allow baggages for carpooling. Baggage requests do not guarantee admission to the league, and will be reviewed after the lottery draw.

Jersey Design Submission: April 25th

RIPUL Draft: May 2nd or May 3rd (rosters announced the next day)

Pre-Season Learner Clinic: May 24th @ Lincoln Fields

First Day of Games: May 29th

RIPUL Mixer: June 2nd @ The Guild, Pawtucket

RIPUL Mid-Season Mixer: July 8th @ Narragansett Brewing, Providence

RIPUL Mixed Tournament: August 12th

End of Season Party: August 12th @ The Guild, Pawtucket
