Hi,

If anyone wants to use paypal to get money into ripplepay I'm willing
to be that bridge.

How to do it. Send a paypal payment to larsbell (at) gmail.com with
"ripplepay" in the note and your email address.

I'll respond with a ripplepay credit of 90% of the paypal payment to
your email address.

Min: $10
Max: $200

Why 90%? Because paypal charges transaction fees and if someone
disputes the charges I'll be stuck with the charge back.

I'm not trying to make a bunch of money on this so if someone is
willing to do it for a higher limit or for a lower fee than please
feel free to post your details here.

If I have not thought of something let me know.

Ha, good one! I'm sure for the moment people are more interested in
bridges to paypal that go the other way ;)

Why wouldn't I use paypal directly to make my payment? What
advantages do I get with Ripple?

Ryan,

You are so right, a two way bridge would be better so I set things up
so that could happen also.

Details on the 2 way bridge.

To move from to ripple send a paypal payment to
ripple.bridge (at) gmail.com
make sure to include your email and in the note "ripplepay"

Min: $10
Max: $200
fee: you only get 90%

To go the other way send a ripple payment to
ripple.bridge (at) gmail.com

Min: $10
Max: $200
fee: none. You get 100% to your paypal account.

I reserve the right to change the details of this if paypal changes
their fees. Or for any other reason it is no loger working.

Let me know what else I can do to make it better. I know this isn't
the core problem facing the system, I'm just trying to do what I can
on the edges.

Hey Lars, cool. It might be more attractive if fees got charged on
the way out of paypal, rather than on the way in...

Are you still offering this service?

I'm getting "Your intended recipient has not offered enough credit to receive your payment." suggesting you are either at your limits or no longer have them.  If you don't mind revealing, do you have 200$ in credit available to you/have you allocated 200$ available, among all your connections for this purpose?
