This is an informational announcement. No action is required.

The "account" and "owner" reserves for Testnet have been changed to match the current values on Mainnet.

For details about reserves, see: https://xrpl.org/docs/concepts/accounts/reserves

In general, reserves on Testnet and Mainnet will not necessarily match, as the reserve amounts on Mainnet are determined by votes from the decentralized network, and can thus change at any time. Applications, wallets, exchanges, and other integrations should not hardcode reserve values, but should instead retrieve the current reserve values from the ledger.

For example, in server_info, "reserve_base_xrp" is the account reserve, while "reserve_inc_xrp" is the owner reserve.

The Testnet is operated to help the community to test features and integrations without involving real money. Testnet is intended to behave similar to Mainnet, whereas Devnet offers a preview of proposed and upcoming features.
