Error with running ./rippled

Hi! So I've just started working with the rippled server and XRP Ledger (very new)- I've been able to successfully start up a rippled server on my Mac OS but after about 15 minutes of connecting with the rest of the network, it returns the following message: 

WRN Node count (0) has fallen below required minimum (1).

Is this supposed to happen? I don't think it is and nothing else seems to happen after this message is returned. Any and all advice would be much appreciated!
