Just wanted to post an update about my effort in correcting
compatibility issues with some rips being burned or transcoded. I've
been pushing forward really hard since the last beta release to
correct problems ... as I said before, this is a very high priority
for me.

So far, I've made a lot of progress getting the output structures to
more closely mirror the original structures content ... preserving
much more of the original information. In simpler discs like "The
Backyardigans: Tale of the Mighty Knights", these structures are in
great shape. I'm now focusing on more complex discs like "Up" where
remastering is more complex to compensate for the fake title sets that
the studios include.

I've been hesitant to do interim releases since these changes are
significant to the rip output ... however, if you guys would like to
have "fresher" builds and willing to deal with more potential bugs,
let me know and I'll start pushing out more frequent betas (you can
always fall back to the production build at any time). If enough
people speak up, I'll start pushing them out. My goal is to make you
guys happy and provide the best product we can!

Kind regards,
Scott, TLAF

btw, if I had to estimate the progress, I think its over 50%
completed. However, its a tedious task of analyzing structures,
sometimes down to individual bit fields of a byte. None the less, I'll
continue pushing hard to get a great compatible output.

To me, this is the whole reason to be part of the Beta release, so bring it on. :) If you don't want it, then use the production release. Worst case, you could look at setting up an Alpha/Beta/Production set, but why make more work for yourself?
