True Grit went to 100 % then Hung! It would not complete the rip so I
sent ripit the info and we will see if anyone else has had the same
problem?

I had the same issue, first I tried RipIt and it hung at 100%. I tried some time later and it finished but the output was 9.8GB. I tried to use handbrake to make an appletv version and the video ts file kept crashing handbrake and then the same with toast 11. I tried mtr and it told me to do the “rip and rebuild” option. I didn’t try it because it wanted 24GB of hard drive space and I just didn’t feel like doing it. I tried on my friends pc with anydvd and clonedvd and they couldn’t even read the dvd. It said it only had 4 chapters that were 15 seconds each.  I figured that maybe True Grit has some new encryption on it or something.

Mine never hung but the resulting files can't be opened by VLC, Quicktime, iTunes or anything else I've tried.

Thanks Steve, I guess we have a new problem for the guys and gals at ripit? If anydvd did not touch it we have a problem!

With True Grit I was able to complete a 1:1 rip using Ripit. I don't
remember if I had to use the latest beta version of Ripit. But
converting it in Handbrake was a problem. So, I made a 1:1 copy of
the 1:1 ripped version using DVD2OneX2, which somehow made it
compatible for Handbrake. Definitely a roundabout solution.

I was able to get True Grit using DVDFab and Mac DVDRipper Pro -- MDRP
movie only extraction did the best job.

I rarely use RipIt since starting to use DVDFab and MDRP.
