Hi! I am sorry for digging out the old topic. I am trying to force p2atc and X-Plane to use custom weather. It is written in the p2atc manual that I must explicitly point to the folder containing METAR file. Mine problem is that I couldn't find any! It works with NOAA weather set both in X-Plane 11 and p2atc (X-Plane 11.32, p2atc latest (2.0.5.7?) trial), but there is no METAR.rwx file... What exactly should I do to be able to tune the weather in X-Plane and pass that to p2atc? I am sorry again for such a question, I have been googling for a couple of days already and found no answer... Please, help me! Thank you in advance!

Hi, Dave! Thanks for a reply! When I have the file, does it mean that my latter modifications to it implemented by customizing weather in X-Plane would be saved to the same file? I am sorry for such a basic questions, I was not able to find the answer online for some reason...

I have the same issue as had ivizot. I run xplane 11 on Win 10 and do not have any external weather plugin installed. I change my weather from within xplane to practice different scenarios i.e. crosswind landings, pattern work, short cross country ect and I would like to use Pilot2Atc to use the same weather as I set in xplane.

When I try to set up Pilot2ATC and point it towards the root folder of xplane 11 (i.e. C:\X-Plane 11) I still get the message that the metar.rwx file is missing. Now I have searched the whole Xplane 11 folder for this file and it does not exist. So I am wondering what I am doing wrong? Is it evern posible to use the "stock" weather from xplane 11 for Pilot2ATC?

I have for a long time used these two products together, but I find I have to delete the SIDs and STARs before I feed it into P2ATC or I end up with double waypoints and a general mess. My workflow looks like this:
1- Generate a plan in Simbrief (by Navigraph)
2- Import that plan into Navigraph
3- Delete the SIDs and STARs, and export the plan to a file.
4- Re-import that plan so that my Navigraph plane includes them.
5- Import the SID and STAR free version of the plan into P2A, and use it normally from there.

Click on SID button and inside the small popup menu open SID drop down button select the SimBrief offered SID (DUZL2B in my case) and push LOAD button.
Each waypoint name changed and show now the SID name and also below the SID button the SID name visible.

I think I have a masochistic streak when it comes to X-Plane and trying to break it. My sub-conscious plan seems to be to keep adding stuff until the PC starts burning like blow-torch thrown at a magnesium depot. My latest pain has been getting the following to all talk to each other:

World Traffic I got fed up with empty skies and my system crawling to its knees with 3 AI flights. World Traffic takes a lot of setting up (a post of its own) but once using the AFRE Real traffic data pack here things look alive. More info here - World Traffic 3 for X-Plane

An airfield traffic pattern is a standard path followed by aircraft when taking off or landing while maintaining visual contact with the airfield. At an airport, the pattern (or circuit) is a standard path for coordinating air traffic. It differs from "straight-in approaches" and "direct climb-outs" in that an aircraft using a traffic pattern remains close to the airport. Patterns are usually employed at small general aviation (GA) airfields and military airbases. Many large controlled airports ...

I have tried using the planes in WT3 with X-Plane 11. Unfortunately, I cannot get the planes to appear in the sim. Their cross shape appears in the map, but there are no planes visible in the actual sim. I was really hoping to use these planes in X-Plane 11. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

NOTE: This is a test version for any version of XP 11 with or without using vulcan. The updater below requires that you have version 3.1.9 (or one of the later test versions) of WT installed. The Linux version will be released in a few days. The Mac...

Have a look at this video, I was enjoying the decent to Duabi Intl on the back seat of the SF50 and the P2ATC warns me on traffic before the TCAS, so I jumped the captain seat and had a look at the passing by traffic though the windows, then you can see that I looked at the map with all the traffic as back dots in a usual busy Dubai airport.

I have this configuration set up, and p2atc see's all the traffic and it's great. I get the number 2 for landing instructions, which is also great. One question though. Under what circumstances (in this configuration) would i get a 'line up and wait' instruction? I've been in a line of 4 planes, and moved my way up to the hold short point, and then called in with ready for departure at that point. P2ATC always just gives me the cleared for takeoff instruction even if the other plane on the runway hasn't gotten off the ground yet. Wondering what order of steps others are doing to get this instruction.

I'm new to XP11 (from FSX/P3D) and have considered P2A. One stumbling block for me is the P2A required window. That iPhone looking small window to the left that says 'RESET PILOT VIEW" (or something similar); is that the P2A window?

I used to hear these types of report about a month ago, now nothing other than clearance, taxi and takeoff instructions and radar contact when airborne. I use WT3 and have visible planes that show on the TCAS display on the aircraft GTN750.

Hi i just can not seem to get an answer to this query at all from the huge world of aviation sim fans.I play with FSX. The ATC in FSX does not issue holding patterns or ever tell you to enter one.Does anyone here use an ATC Addon that actually issues the pilot to enter a Holding pattern. I have spent 4 weeks learning about holding patterns and holding pattern entrys and now im ready to fly the sim i dont want to loose this. I want to practise it more!ATC addons i know of below.Radar Connect (no idea if atc issues holding entry)Pilot2ATC (Asked them already they dont have holding patterns - disappointing as i was going to purchase this as it seems the best offline atc)pd3 (no idea if issues holding patterns) Anyone please be specific with your answers of direct experience of any ATC addon issuing holding patterns. regards

im not sure if you read what i asked.. or maybe i dont know much about that answer.. but i am asking about an ATC addon issuing you into holding patterns. A holding pattern is when you approach an airport and you are put into hold on specific radials etc.
