This is, basically, an audio "love letter" to Black women any and everywhere in the globe, across the African Diaspora. In a world that is already patriarchal, and in many places racist, to be a Black woman is almost like a double-curse. However, I consider it a double blessing, from a Black man's perspective, because of just how amazing Black women are and how they take such a negative societal weight/stigma and still overcome great obstacles to achieve even greater things!

I also kept in mind the various (though not majority-representing) examples of some Black men who have torn down women of their own culture by saying how another type of woman treated him/looked/and acted better, which is pretty much the equivalent of degrading even their own mothers or any other Black woman in their family; love who you want, but not by tearing down your own, which only shows you hate yourself.

Any, just press "play", and if you are Black woman, just know I sincerely love and appreciate you for who and what you are, even if some of you don't recognize it or hear it enough. $(".tralbum-about").last().bcTruncate(TruncateProfile.get("tralbum_about"), "more", "less"); credits released March 28, 2019 license all rights reserved tags Tags house jazz r&b/soul spoken word instrumental meditation Shopping cart subtotal USD taxes calculated at checkout Check out about Ahmed Sirour

Family Man is the third studio album by the American hardcore punk band Black Flag. Released in 1984 through SST Records, it features spoken word tracks by vocalist Henry Rollins and jazz-indebted instrumental tracks. It is also the first album to feature bassist Kira Roessler. "Armageddon Man" is the only track on the album in which Rollins and the instruments are together.
