The Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (CPMI) provides this glossary of payments and market infrastructure terminology as a reference to the standard terms and definitions used in connection with payment, clearing, settlement and related arrangements. The definitions in this glossary are developed by the NAIC Research and Actuarial Department staff based on various insurance references. These definitions represent a common or general use of the term. Some words and/or phrases may be defined differently by other entities, or used in a context such that the definition shown may not be applicable.

This glossary provides brief explanations of planning and zoning terminology, including terms highlighted in the Zoning Handbook. Words and phrases followed by an asterisk (*) in the Glossary are legally defined terms in the Zoning Resolution of the City of New York, and can be found primarily in Section 12-10 of the Resolution for the complete legal definitions.

This glossary is intended to be a comprehensive, standardized list of Kubernetes terminology. It includes technical terms that are specific to Kubernetes, as well as more general terms that provide useful context.

This glossary provides operational definitions of identity-related concepts as commonly used in the development sector. They are part of an effort by the World Bank to standardize the language we use in ID4D publications and operational work, and we hope they will be useful to other development partners and practitioners as a point of departure.

Communication among caseworkers nationwide is a major key to successfully processing cases and collecting payments for child support. The glossary is intended to be a reference tool to those who are new to child support. It will serve to break down the barriers of communication with other professional child support workers.
