I am making a wallpaper app. Here I am taking images from Firebase database. I want to give the users the option to set it as wallpaper and lockscreen. I was able to set the image as wallpaper by the following code

Has anyone found a way to disable the new wallpaper zoom on the home screen? I'm not a huge fan of how it cuts off sections of my wallpaper. I had previously edited the wallpaper I use to fit the icons, but because it zooms in now everything is out of alignment and I can't think of an easy way to fix it without knowing exactly how much it zooms.

You can view the Live View image of the camera on the mobile device, and using this, change shooting conditions such as EV compensation, White balance, Drive mode and operate touch AF and the shutter.* Furthermore, when holding your mobile device at horizontal position, Live View image can fill the whole screen and you can check the composition of photo larger.

Although your home screen still only lets you set a static photo to appear behind your app icons, now you can choose to blur that background or dress it up a bit with some filters. What's even more fun is that your home screen wallpaper is paired with each lock screen you set up, so it changes with each one. By default, you get a blurred version of the corresponding lock screen's image, but you can still set it to any other image in your photo library like before.

When you create a new lock screen wallpaper or edit an existing one, your iPhone will offer up a blurred version of the same wallpaper for the background on your home screen. It steers you toward selecting this with a prominent Set as Wallpaper Pair button, but you don't have to accept this by default.

Step 6: From the options at the bottom, leave Pair selected (Original on iOS 16.0) to keep the same wallpaper as your lock screen; select Color or Gradient to choose a static background, or choose Photos to select another image from your photo library.

Step 7: The color and gradient options are preset to use a background that matches your lock screen wallpaper. To choose a different color or gradient, select the Color or Gradient button a second time to bring up the color picker.

Step 8: Select Blur to choose whether to blur your home screen wallpaper. This option is only available when using a matching lock screen wallpaper or a custom photo; it won't be active when using a color or gradient since there's nothing to blur in that case.

Step 5: From the options at the bottom, select Pair (Original on iOS 16.0) to use the same wallpaper as your lock screen, Color or Gradient to choose a static background, or Photos to select a different image from your photo library.

You can also quickly choose a new home screen wallpaper for your current lock screen in the same way as setting wallpapers in prior versions of iOS. This skips the step of opening the lock screen wallpaper editor and takes you directly to selecting a home screen wallpaper instead.

Step 4: From the options at the bottom, select Pair (Original on iOS 16.0) to use the same wallpaper as your lock screen, Color or Gradient to choose a static background, or Photos to select an image from your photo library.

If you've customized your wallpaper to use a color, gradient, or separate photo and later decide that you want to go back to using the paired wallpaper from your lock screen, repeat the above steps and select the Pair option (or Original on iOS 16.0).

I just updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 16.2 and now my lock screen is displaying just a black screen with the time, flashlight, and camera icons. I restarted the phone and verified that Settings/Wallpaper is set to select the wallpaper image that I have been using for years. After restarting the iPhone, the correct wallpaper was displayed but the next time the display went to sleep, it was again just showing the black background image.

I am experiencing all the same things already mentioned, but in my case, it may (or may not) be related to Do Not Disturb. I do not use Bedtime to schedule DND, but rather simply have it scheduled as DND: On from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., off from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Has worked for years until upgrading from 15.7 to 16.1 on Friday. I had also created wallpaper for lock screen/home screen, and edited from chunky font for time display to thinner, obviously selecting the latter for use. (Kept the orginal unwanted set just in case, as it would be easier to simply modify than going back to wallpaper and starting over in the event it disappeared.

DND malfunctioned immediately following upgrade. It goes on (and, although doesn't always give you the quick notification at the bottom of the home screen, the crescent is displayed above) but often does NOT go off! While on, apparently it chooses to black out the wallpaper selection, which I hate, but this morning, for the first time, it disabled itself on schedule. However - it also immediately switched from my selected wallpaper set in focus to the original chunky font set! It has swapped sets at other times while working on this issue, but unfortunately, I can't be specific - particularly since I didn't realize that was what was occuring. I thought initially that it was simply changing the font.

I have the iPhone11Pro and the same thing happened I believe with the update to iOS16.0.2, as of iOS 16.1 the issue remains. Everyday my 7+ year old wallpaper disappears and both the home screen background and the lock screen become completely black.

First I decided to recover the original wallpaper image by following a series of complicated steps. The image is store as a .cpbitmap file, which I believe is an Apple proprietary image format used in iOS and iPadOS. This is what I did in case anyone is curious. Without ever deleting my current wallpaper (even if not showing in the main screen, it still appeared on the Settings app). Instructions using Windows 11 2H22:

Recently, iPhone users have been bragging that they can set Live Photos as their lock screen wallpaper. While this is a great way to spice up a boring lock screen, Android users shouldn't feel left out in the cold. The highly customizable and feature-rich OS has a few tricks up its sleeve too, and it's really easy to set any GIF as your Android's home screen and/or lock screen background.

Fliqlo for iOS/iPadOS is a clock app that allows you to make your mobile device screen look like a flip clock. It displays the time with flip animation in large white numerals against a black background. Thanks to its visibility, you can check the time even from a distance.

Customization has always been the main draw of Android for me, but Apple has an impressive feature on iOS 16 that lets iPhone users create customized emoji wallpapers for their home and lock screens. While Android doesn't have something like that built-in by default, it's easy enough to make emoji wallpapers for your Android phone.

To generate the wallpaper, long-press on the lock screen (if you're borrowing a device from someone else, they'll need to be nearby to unlock it) to open the lock screen switcher. Tap the blue plus sign at the bottom right to start a new one.

When satisfied, tap "Add." If the home screen wallpaper is blurred out in the preview that appears, you'll need to tap "Customize Home Screen" and then "Blur" to remove the effect. The home screen wallpaper is required to get more of the emoji in our screenshot in the next step.

Unfortunately, the wallpaper itself is trapped in the walled garden, so there's no easy way to get the full image. Apple's iOS 16.2 update does have an action for the Shortcuts app called "Get Wallpaper," which pulls all of the lock screen wallpapers on the device, but the resulting images are low quality and include the date, time, and widgets on top just like on the lock screen.

After you take a screenshot, a thumbnail preview appears. Long-press it before it disappears to open the share sheet. Alternatively, tap the preview, then hit the share button. Feel free to crop it out now if you want, but you can also crop it when setting up the wallpaper later.

Once you've got the screenshot of the emoji wallpaper, open the wallpaper picker on your Android device as you usually would, and choose the new image for your home and/or lock screen. You could resize the image in the preview to crop out any remaining UI elements if you didn't already cut them out.

The downside to this option is you can only choose the spiral pattern. But you can customize the background color and parameters of the spiral. If you're accessing the tool from your mobile device, there's a button to copy the dimensions of your screen. You can even add an image of your choosing to the center.

You can make your own emoji wallpaper if you're comfortable with some basic graphic design. There are many options, but I'm most familiar with Canva, which is available as a mobile app and via desktop browsers.
